AI workshop and Claude Code training for developers

AI Coding Workshop
for developer teams

Your team isn't using AI for coding yet - or not to its full potential? This workshop gets things moving: using AI agents like Claude Code and Codex safely in everyday work, practised on a real maintenance task instead of toy examples.

  • Claude Code, Codex and co. in daily work
  • Tests as guardrails
  • Focus on .NET, Angular and web teams
  • Remote or on-site

In short: Bußmann IT (Patrick Bußmann, Algermissen near Hildesheim, Germany) runs a hands-on AI coding workshop for developer teams: using Claude Code, Codex and similar AI agents safely, with tests, code review and team rules. Focus on .NET, Angular and web. Half day remote €1,400, full day for up to 10 people €2,900, full day with 4 weeks of follow-up support €4,900 (all prices excl. VAT, fixed price per workshop). Remote or on-site at your premises, in English or German. Enquiries via the form below or by phone at +49 5126 804 77 37.

What your team learns in the AI workshop

Not tool marketing, but craft: how to get faster with AI agents without giving up control over code quality.

AI agents in daily work

Using Claude Code, Codex and similar tools well: when an agent pays off, when autocomplete is enough, and how to stay in control of what happens.

Prompting for code

Describing tasks so that usable code comes out: context, boundaries, acceptance criteria. No magic spells - just clear work orders.

Tests as guardrails

Have tests written first or alongside, so the AI delivers code that demonstrably works - not just code that looks plausible.

Reviewing AI-generated code

What to watch for in AI-generated code: made-up APIs, silent behaviour changes, needless complexity, missing error handling.

Security and cost

Which data goes where? Protecting secrets, limiting what the agent may do, keeping an eye on cost per task and setting sensible budgets.

Team rules

Shared ground rules: what we use AI for, how we label and review results, and which project files and instructions we maintain for the agents.

A real maintenance task, not a toy example

A greenfield to-do app is quickly built with AI. Real life looks different: code that has grown over years, outdated dependencies, missing tests, business logic nobody fully understands any more.

That is exactly where we practise. Your team sees where AI agents really save time, where they introduce bugs - and how to reliably tell the two apart.

Focus areas

  • .NETExtending existing services, tests with xUnit/NUnit, refactoring
  • AngularComponents, migrations to newer versions, unit tests
  • WebPHP, TypeScript, APIs and frontends - maintenance and further development

How the workshop runs

The rough agenda - in the preliminary call we adapt the focus to your team.

Half day

approx. 4 hours, remote

  1. 1
    Kick-off

    Fundamentals

How AI coding agents work, what they do well and where they go wrong. A quick check of where your team stands.

  2. 2
    Live demo

    A real task, solved live

A maintenance task from description to pull request - including the points where you have to step in.

  3. 3
    Exercise 1

    Feature with tests

Everyone implements a small feature themselves, with tests as guardrails.

  4. 4
    Exercise 2

    Review and refactoring

Review AI-generated code, find its weaknesses and have them fixed in a targeted way.

  5. 5
    Wrap-up

    Team rules

First shared rules: what to use AI for, how to review, what stays off-limits.

Full day

on-site or remote, up to 10 people

  1. 1
    Morning

    Everything from the half day

Fundamentals, live demo, feature with tests, review and refactoring.

  2. 2
    Block 1

    Legacy code

Understand old, poorly documented code with AI, secure it with tests and modernise it step by step.

  3. 3
    Block 2

    Security and cost

Secrets, agent permissions, data flows, cost control.

  4. 4
    Block 3

    Your team's own code

We work on a real task from your project - provided you approve it.

  5. 5
    Wrap-up

    Team guideline

The results of the day go into a written guideline for your team.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the team need to bring?
Basic programming experience in your own stack and Git. No prior AI knowledge is required - the workshop works for beginners and also moves teams forward that already use Copilot or ChatGPT.
Which tools and licences are needed?
The focus is on AI coding agents such as Claude Code and Codex. Every participant needs access, e.g. through a suitable subscription or API access. We clarify which option makes sense for your team in the preliminary call. If you already use other tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor, we include them.
What about data protection if we work on our own code?
We only work on your code if you explicitly approve it. Beforehand we discuss which providers and plans are permitted in your company and which data usage settings apply. Alternatively, we practise on a neutral sample project with a realistic maintenance task.
How does a remote workshop work technically?
Via video call with screen sharing - ideally in the tool your team already uses (e.g. Teams, Zoom or Google Meet). Everyone works on their own machine in their usual development environment.
How large can the group be?
Up to 10 people, so everyone can practise and there is time for questions. Larger teams are split across several sessions - just get in touch.
Which technologies is the workshop suited for?
Especially .NET, Angular and web teams, because that is what we develop in every day. The way of working with AI agents transfers to most languages and frameworks, though.
Where does the on-site workshop take place?
At your premises. The half day is offered remotely, the full day on-site or remotely. Travel costs for on-site sessions are agreed with you in advance.
Is the workshop held in English?
Yes, the workshop can be held in English or German - just tell us in your enquiry.
